Is CCO accredited?

Our Physician Based Medical Coding course will teach you the core trainings needed for coding in a medical office. Also, it gives you all the training required to pass the AAPC CPC® board exam and start your career in Medical Coding.

To take an AAPC exam such as the CPC, the requirements are found HERE.

CCO does not accept government funds. Therefore, we are not considered a college eligible for government aid. CCO is a trade school.

In order for students to receive federal student aid from the U.S. Department of Education (Department) for postsecondary study, the institution must be accredited _by a “nationally _recognized” accreditor (or, for certain vocational institutions, approved by a recognized state approval agency.

_The goal of accreditation is to ensure that education provided by institutions of higher education meets acceptable levels of quality. _

CCO is an approved AAPC education provider.

AAPC Educational Partnership Program

AAPC’s Educational Partnership Program provides schools and healthcare enterprises with the curriculum and technology to prepare their students and employees for success in the fields of medical billing, coding, auditing, and practice management.

As a school or business, you can license AAPC’s curriculum to prepare your students or employees to pass AAPC certifications including CPB, CPC, COC, CIC, CPMA, and CPPM. This curriculum license is a turnkey solution that includes access to PowerPoint presentations, assessments, curriculum outlines, online modules, and an online learning management system. AAPC also offers customized training solutions to our educational partners

Institutions that implement an AAPC curriculum can improve their students’ certification exam pass rate up to 80% and improve the productivity of employees.
