  1. Do you think I should do the updates webinar if I am taking the CPC exam in 2018? Will this help me with the exam?
  2. A. Because some of the guidelines have changed and the CPC Exam is based on testing your understanding of the guidelines, learning what changed for 2018 will be helpful, in general.  That said, you could delay Updates Webinars until later in your preparation by purchasing the CPC Blitz when it is updated for 2018.  Also, be sure to do timed practice exams because that is critical in adequately preparing for the exam.

On October 1, 2017, hundreds of ICD-10-PCS codes were deployed. These code changes must be integrated into all medical channels involving hospitals, physicians, medical providers, payer billing and more.

Don’t worry! CCO is ready to review and clarify the changes for ICD-10-PCS code sets during a 3 hour training session. The sessions will give you the knowledge and skills needed to:

  • Correctly apply the numerous ICD-10-PCS coding updates
  • Identify potential documentation needs
  • Understand ICD-10-PCS code change rationale
