It is the holiday season. I want my students to put family first. However, remember to spend some time on your studies. Dec 20, 2014

I live in the beautiful Southwest United States. I have a PhD in religion and my undergraduate degree is in Human Services where I graduated with high honors. I have certificates in medical transcription, medical coding, medical billing, medical office management, paralegal, and legal transcription. I write for national industry-specific journals and blogs. I've authored course content for a major medical transcription school. In the past, I've worked as the director for an online school also teaching in their medical transcription program. I currently teach medical coding, medical billing, and medical office management. I've been in the adult online education industry as an instructor for about 12 years. My motto is that one is never too old to learn something new. In my opinion, life is about learning new things.

In my free time, I love to read and write, and spend time with my pets. I have a German Shepherd mix- Chica Marie, and a Chihuahua named Gigi LaRoux. I love scary movies, rides in the country, and am crazy about the color pink. I still love Cinderella :). I'm a big kid at heart and enjoy coloring mandalas, and my favorite toy is my Spirograph. I actually collect vintage Spirographs from the 1960s. If you are younger than 40, you do not know what a Spirograph is :). I also love learning new languages and about other cultures.

My joy in life is being able to work at home and help my students to succeed in their courses and career. Their success is my success.

My future goals are to obtain more AAPC national certifications, and to possibly complete a legal scoping course that I started a couple of years ago.
