CEU Question

Can I submit proof of attending webinars for CEU credit if I attended the webinar before I was certified (but while I was studying)?

For example (in chronological order):
  1. I attended the March webinar on the 20th.
  2. I took the CPC board exam on the 22nd.
  3. I received the email from you guys about the CEU for the webinar on the 24th.
  4. I was notified of passing the board exam on the 27th.
Can I submit that CEU? (For that matter, I've got a CEU certificate from you guys from last December. Can I use that one?)

Thanks!

...Sue

I believe you have to wait until you are certified to work on CEUs, but if you don't like that answer you can contact AAPC and see what they say.

Hi Sue,

Ruth is correct. You have to be certified to get CEU credit. Years ago they used to allow you to use CEUs obtained a month prior to certification but alas they no longer allow that.

However if you are in the replay club and review the webinar again and take the corresponding quiz you can then earn the CEU that way.
