GettingJob I GOT THE JOB! Update to Need Advice Thread

I got the call yesterday from MedAmerica billing services. They offered me a full time remote Coding Specialist Level 1 Job. I begin on April 29th with training and once I complete that I will be moved to a level 2 position!!

I cannot believe how blessed I am that I began this journey of a career change in January 2012 and just 16 months later I will be coding from home in a full time position! It's a dream come true!

Thank you to this site for your tips, study advice and webinars!! Also to everyone still looking for a job don't give up it will happen!

I know you feel great about this. The training will be intense but so worth it. Soak up all your experiences. I love working from home. You save money on food, clothing, gas and so much more. The best advice I could give you is to make yourself an office. You can't work remote on the kitchen table. It can be lonely so stay connected with other coders on line.

You are going to make some new friends. Stay positive even when you are frustrated. Pass on that coding love!!!!

Thank you for the advice Alicia. I have a computer center all set up. I have been working from home with my current job with the Organ and Tissue Bank so I am somewhat familiar with the environment.
I am looking forward to getting started. I am expecting boxes of materials any day now. I feel like I am waiting for Christmas. I am sure there will be plenty of adjustments and at times it will be overwhelming but I feel confident that this is the job I was meant to do.
