ICD 10 CM new codes

Hello,

Does anyone know how I can find a list of new ICD-10-CM codes that we did not have them on ICD-9-CM list?

I'm not sure why you would want this... it is a list of tens of thousands of codes, so it is basically an unmanageable list for everyday use. If you need this however, get a copy of the ICD9 to ICD10 gems, and for every ICD9 code that shows multiple codes for it in ICD10. And well, those are the codes that you are asking for, I think.

Thanks Ruth for answering my question so promptly. I do not need a list of thousand codes. I am trying to get a list of new categories of ICD 10 codes.

The 2017 ICD-10-CM files below contain information on the ICD-10-CM updates for FY 2017. These 2017 ICD-10-CM codes are to be used for discharges occurring from October 1, 2016 through September 30, 2017 and for patient encounters occurring from October 1, 2016 through September 30, 2017

The 2017 General Equivalence Mappings (GEMs) will be posted in August 2016.

The document you want is icd10cm_codes_addenda_2017

You will need to import it into a spreadsheet program. Each line in the tabular that changed with either say

New codes (Add: )

Description changes (Revise from: followed by Revise to: )

Codes no longer valid (Delete: )
