Q&A inpatient coding V57.89 vs Z51.89 icd 10

We used to use ICD 9 code V57.89 for rehab/respite care for inpatient summaries when coding them and since ICD 10 it has prompted us to use Z51.89 for rehab/respite care for inpatient summaries coding; I was wondering the coding guidelines seem to be unclear and I do not understand why we would use this code anyway seeing as I understand it to be for physical therapy rehab and doesn't make sense to use it in our inpatient coding discharges since ICD 10 came along. Could you please verify the use of this code and if we are using this incorrectly with ICD 10 now when coding inpatient dc summaries. thank you
