⅏ PASSED THE CCS AND GOT THE JOB!!!

Hello!

I just wanted to say thanks Laureen for the Videos and answering posted questions!

I am so VERY HAPPY to say that the day before yesterday I PASSED the CCS!!!!! WOOHOOOO!!!!
And yesterday a job I had been trying to get called with the offer about 2 hrs after they found out I passed!!!! I got the job ED coding at the hospital!!! I am SOOOO HAPPY!!!!

There are jobs out there AND you CAN pass these tests!!!

Thank you so much for posting Linda. A lot of people as if we only do CPC but we have several students that are working toward their CCS. Your feedback with benefit them. It is a hard exam so that is something to be proud of. Congratulations.

Actually to all who read this......I wish I had spent even MORE time in the Blitz videos!!! There is SOOOOO much CPT on the CCS exam, I was shocked while taking the test and even thought while taking it that there is no way that I am passing, almost wanted to get up and leave - I cried twice DURING this beast of a test!! But I stuck it out and was FLOORED when the proctor gave me the paper that stated "Congratulations you have successfully passed the CCS certification exam" I had to read it 3 times before I believed it!!! I have posted the links to this site all over the study group pages I have been on because I think that the Blitz was a big help for me with the CPT questions in the CCS exam - in addition I am thinking about taking the CCS-P because the job I just got will be coding for the ED physicians at the hospital - I will have many paths to choose from within the coding department at this hospital because it is so big - the director was telling me yesterday that when they start hiring next year new coders in preparation for ICD-10 then all the rest of us that have been there will be promoted and we will have choices as to which direction we want to take - so I want as many certs as I can get they will be offering training there for ICD-10 and they will be giving me training in additional classes such as anatomy and physiology (which I have already taken but would like the refresher now that I can focus more on it rather than several classes at once) anyway - yes to all taking the CCS - TAKE THE BLITZ course!! You NEED to know CPT for the CCS!!!!

The CPC is also very heavy in CPT. That is one reason I like HCC coding....it is all ICD-9. LOL!

YES!!! Happy dance!! happy screams!!! Happy flips!! HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!!!!! Please don't mention anything about the job on FB yet though!!!! I am off this week on vacation from my current job so I haven't told them yet - I will be telling them on Monday. Then I will tell the group on that page. I may be getting word on 2 other jobs as well - not sure yet. Thanks though!!
