Where do I start?

I went to a technology institute and got my diploma with high honors. I was unable to take the certification test after I was done because of lack of money, I was on unemployment at the time and my husband was not working. I have been working the last 6 years in a nursing home first as a unit clerk then I was transferred to the Medical Records Dept., the part time supervisor has asked me to start coding there (they only do Diagnosis Coding), and I really want to become Certified. I don't know what all I have to do to begin the process. I have watched a few of the video's on here and have learned a few new things. The ICD 10 coding seems easier to me than the ICD 9 that I was originally taught. Can you please tell me what I should do to get things going. I'm really anxious to get the process started. Thanks for you help.

Hi Felicia - thanks for dropping by! We can help you get your certification. What I would recommend is that you take our free practice exam to see how you score. If you score a 60 or higher then I'd say you could get away with just the review blitz and more practice exams until you're scoring an 85%.

If you score lower then you may need a full course. I'm hoping you'll be fine to just do the Blitz review. You will need current manuals as well. Plan to take the CPC exam by then end of the year. I'd plan on a month to be able to go through the review videos and take the practice exams.

Here is the link to the CPC Blitz program https://www.cco.us/medical-coding-certification-cpc-review-blitz/ and if you want to schedule a call with me send me you can do so via this link https://www.timetrade.com/book/TKD1M
