Why Is My Next Lesson or Module Locked in CCO Academy?

In CCO Academy, lessons and modules unlock in sequence as you progress. If your next lesson or module appears locked, it usually means the previous lesson has not been marked complete yet.

Each lesson page has a “Complete Lesson” button at the bottom of the page. You must click this button after finishing the lesson content in order to unlock the next lesson or module. Watching a video, reading the material, or passing a quiz alone is not enough; you still need to click “Complete Lesson” to register that the lesson is finished.

How to fix a locked lesson or module:

1. Go back to the last lesson you completed
2. Scroll to the bottom of the lesson page.
3. Click the “Complete Lesson” button.
4. Return to your course outline – the next lesson or module should now be unlocked.

If you have clicked “Complete Lesson” on all prior lessons and the next module is still locked, please contact the CCO Help Desk at [email protected] so a human agent can review your account access.
