What Medical Coding Credential Do You Want?

Laureen: Poll – What coding credential do you want? Let’s see what people are going after here – CPC, CPC-H, CCS, Specialty or other. Same choices, but now this is what people want. Someone remind me in the previous slide, I forgot to put “none” because a lot of people aren’t certified, so I will remember that for next time. Thank you.

Boyd: If it is “other” please say in the question box chat area what that “other” is because we’d like to know.

Laureen: 66 loaded… That’s why the number for votes was low on the last one because some people were “none.”

I like the new Tweet Chat, I can see everyone’s faces if they have it, or pictures that they chose.

Alicia: I like that too.

Laureen: I had to hit refresh though, so if anyone is not seeing them update, just hit your browser refresh.

Alright, 72% voted. I’m going to close it in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. 40% are going after their CPC, 28% CPC-H, that’s interesting; 29% for their CCS, 22% are working on specialty, and 11% on other. Cool!

Alicia: CCS, I know a lot of people have asked about that Laureen too, if the CEUs work with CS or through AHIMA. That’s not up yet, but it’s being worked on.

Laureen: Yeah, I’m not sure what the relationship is with AHIMA – not the relationship, the policy in accepting AAPC CEU. So, maybe if Sylvia is listening, we can put that on our task list to investigate and we’ll see what we can do.
