Which Track level should I choose?
Foundational: Build essential knowledge with subjects such as Medical Terminology, Pathophysiology, Pharmacology and Diagnostic Coding (ICD-10-CM). Medical Terminology is the starting foundation for understanding the language used throughout coding and healthcare.
Level 1 · Core: Main training pathways: Physician / ProFee, Outpatient Facility, Risk Adjustment, Inpatient Facility and Medical Billing. “Core” does not automatically mean no prior knowledge is needed.
Level 2 · Advanced: Medical Auditing, Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) and Compliance build on existing knowledge to develop more advanced professional skills.
Level 3 · Specialist: Forensic Coding develops a more specialized investigative skill set, building on a coding, auditing or compliance foundation.
Specialty: Explore focused areas such as Home Health and Patient Navigation. More specialty courses are being developed. Request a specialty course, or comment and vote on existing requests.
These levels guide learning progression; they do not impose mandatory prerequisites. Check each course’s recommended background and requirements before enrolling.

Choose a Review Blitz to review material and exam strategy after your foundational training.
Choose practice exams to assess your knowledge. Select an individual exam or a bundle where available.

Lifetime or subscription?
Lifetime: Make one payment for lifetime access to the purchased course or Blitz.
Course subscription: Pay monthly for access while subscribed. These payments are not installments toward lifetime ownership.
CCO Club: Choose an annual or monthly subscription for membership access while subscribed.
Practice exams: Each exam, trial or bundle purchase provides 30 day access. You can purchase again if you want longer access.

Why do the practice exams have gem names?
We needed a simple way to distinguish one practice exam from another, so we gave them gem names, such as Ruby or Titanite.
- Find your exam: Choose the practice-exam product for your track or subject.
- Pick your gem: Select a named exam, or a bundle where available, from its dropdown.
- Click to buy: The price updates for your selected gem or bundle. Click the price button to go to its checkout with 30 day access.
For a different practice exam, choose another gem. If you want more time with the same exam or trial, you can purchase it again for another 30-day access period.
