How Do Pre-Recorded GoToWebinar Events Work?

A GoToWebinar Pre-Recorded event is a special type of webinar where a pre-recorded video is broadcast in a live fashion to attendees on a specific date and time. It’s similar to going to the movies except you’re at home with a computer or device. CCO does not attend Pre-Recorded events so questions are not answered at the end.

Here is exactly how a GoToWebinar Pre-Recorded Event works…

  1. We send the Chapter officer a GoToWebinar registration link to distribute to Chapter members.
  2. The Chapter members sign up for the pre-recorded webinar using the GTW registration link they received from the Chapter officer. The Chapter officer should also sign up if they wish to watch the event.
  3. Anyone that registers for the event receives a confirmation email with a unique link to join the pre-recorded webinar on the date/time. The confirmation email also contains a handout link.
  4. On the date of the event, the registered viewers click the link that was emailed to them in Step 3 to join the webinar.
  5. The event is broadcast just like any other webinar event. At the end of the webinar, the event automatically closes and questions cannot be asked since no one at CCO is attending. (It’s a pre-recorded webinar.)
  6. The next day, the Chapter officer can request the “Attendee Report” from us by replying to their Remote Presentation email ticket. These email tickets are created automatically when a Remote Presentation is requested.
  7. We send the Attendee Report and the Chapter officer distributes CEUs to attendees. (CCO does not issue CEUs)
